Yesteryear Collection

In England, the farmers of Gloucestershire used to ask for a "Sheep Dip" when ordering a whisky. This particular Scotch is said to have become popular with farmers because invoices for "Sheep Dip" could easily be lost in their accounts if they kept a few sheep. Still distilled and bottled in Scotland for M.J. Dowdeswell & Co. Ltd., of Oldbury on Seven, Gloucestershire, "The Original Oldbury Sheep Dip" bottle features a label with a bucolic scene of old-time farmers tending their flock.
This whisky is distilled with generous portions of older malts, which contribute greatly to its legendary smoothness. Its dry yet rich flavour and medium yet gently smoky finish have enabled Sheep Dip's fame to spread through the British Isles to an astonished world where its unique flavour has proved highly palatable to connoisseurs of fine Scotch whisky.

Matchbox Collectibles celebrates Sheep Dip with a die-cast model of a 1912 Ford Model T, bearing the sheep motif that gives this whisky its unique place in history.
